Model-turned-actress, Gauhar Khan had to cancel the shoot of her reality TV show Khan Sisters, after her lip augmentation surgery goes awfully wrong.

She has made a living by being in the spotlight. But perhaps for the first time in model-turned-actress Gauhar Khan's career, she was too shy to face the camera. And apparently she can thank an ill-advised lip augmentation surgery for it.

A friend close to Gauhar informed Mumbai Mirror that the actress, who has been shooting for her reality TV show Khan sisters, went under the knife on Tuesday night. However, with the after-surgery look appearing worse than the before-surgery look, Gauhar refused to go on camera and consequently the shoot had to be cancelled.

The actress' friend explained, "Gauhar had a photo shoot with a leading magazine a couple of months ago. In between the shoot, the photographer happened to suggest that she would look far more striking with fuller lips."

According to the buzz in the industry, Gauhar was shooting for a YRF venture last month, and when she arrived back in the city to shoot her reality show, she decided to take the photographer's advise and get her lips augmented.

However, Gauhar was not pleased with the results and refused to face the camera for her reality TV show. A member from the production team recounted the aftermath of the lip augmentation surgery, "After Gauhar saw herself post the procedure, she was shocked as she was not used to her lips being accentuated so much. She just overreacted to the whole procedure and refused to face the camera, and as a result the shoot had to be called off."

When contacted, Gauhar confirmed the incident and said, "I wanted to try the temporary lip augmentation procedure, which lasts for around 3 to 4 hours. But I didn't like the way it looked at all at that point and so, the shoot of Khan Sisters had to be stalled, as I was in shock and wasn't comfortable being captured on camera for that moment."
